My name is Leslie Dunn, and I am a Criminal Justice major with a concentration in Forensic Science and a minor in Psychology at Bowie State University. So far, at Helping Ourselves to Transform, I’ve learned the value of advocacy and the importance of persistence. Even when opportunities seem limited or doors appear to close, it’s essential to continue speaking up for what you believe in, because meaningful change only happens when we raise our voices and actively engage in the process. This program has shown me that every effort to advocate for others and ourselves matters, and that consistent action can make a real difference.
