Through my internship with Helping Ourselves to Transform (HOTT), I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how advocacy, policy work, and community programs come together to create meaningful change. From observing legislative meetings about the PATH Act to working on programs supporting girls at Walker Mill Middle School and assisting with data work for women at MCI-W, I’ve seen how HOTT works to support individuals impacted by the justice system and create pathways for growth and opportunity.
