Mission:
Liberate all individuals from oppressive systems, promoting equality and justice through advocacy and education, and creating a society free from discrimination.
Vision:
We envision a world where collective liberation is the driving force, uniting us all in a shared commitment to justice, equality, and true freedom.
Helping Ourselves to Transform (HOTT) supports Mass Liberation, aiming to release many from incarceration, especially those in prisons and jails. We recognize the over-incarceration issue, affecting non-violent offenders, the innocent, the sick, and the elderly. This has disproportionately impacted marginalized communities, particularly people of color. Additionally, we acknowledge the impact of significant federal crime-related acts and bills from 1968 to 1994, contributing to mass incarceration.
Our mass liberation movement initiatives include:
- Reducing Mass Incarceration
- Criminal Justice Reform
- Addressing Racial Disparities
- Restorative Justice
- Reducing Cash Bail
- Resentencing, Clemency and Presidential Pardons
- Supporting Reentry
- Community Investment
- Ending Mass Criminalization
- Grassroots Mobilization
- Participatory Defense
- Post Conviction
- Court Support
- Diversion program over incarceration
