During my time at Helping Ourselves to Transform, I learned the importance of using lived experience and trauma-informed approaches to support vulnerable communities. Their work showed me that strong advocacy is rooted in empathy, resilience, and authenticity. I also learned how creativity and outreach can be used to mentor and empower young leaders like myself, preparing us to make a real impact in our communities.
