Roland Carter

Mr. Roland Carter, a true Native Washingtonian, not only carries the distinguished title of Journeyman Lineman but also held the remarkable achievement of serving as President at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers LOCAL 70 in Washington DC. Roland’s presidency was a testament to his leadership as he was not just elected once, but twice, from July 2020 to August 2023. In Roland’s second term elected as President, September 2023 he moved into a pivotal new role within the IBEW International Office assigned to the 4th District. In addition to these roles, he serves as a Commissioner on The Board of Professional Engineers in the District of Columbia. In addition to his remarkable union leadership, Roland further distinguishes himself by serving as a Commissioner on The Board of Professional Engineers in the District of Columbia.

Roland, a graduate of the relentless school of hard knocks, demonstrates unwavering dedication in his mission to uplift and empower men, boys, and families impacted by social disparity.
